1.Who we are
This policy explains how Bonjoy Technologies, LLC ("Bonjoy", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through bonjoy.com and its related pages (the "website"). Our office is at 1725 Hughes Landing Blvd, 11th Floor, The Woodlands, TX 77380, United States.
This policy covers the website only. When we build or run software for a client under a contract, the handling of personal information in that work is governed by the agreement with that client.
2.Information we collect
We collect information in three ways.
- Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, your message and, if you choose to add them, your company, phone number, industry and inquiry type. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. When you apply for a job, we collect the details on the application form, such as your name, email address, phone number, location, links to your LinkedIn profile or portfolio, experience level, work authorization, available start date, skills, how you heard about the role and any comments, plus the resume and cover letter you upload.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our analytics provider records how you use it: pages viewed, clicks, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser, device and operating system. We also record sessions to understand how pages are used. Text you type into form fields is masked in these recordings.
- Information from bot protection. Our forms use a security check that processes technical signals from your browser to tell people and automated bots apart. We also use your IP address to limit repeated submissions.
3.How we use information
- To answer your inquiry and follow up on a possible project.
- To schedule and hold meetings you book with us.
- To send the newsletter you subscribed to. Every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To review job applications and communicate with applicants.
- To understand how the website is used and improve its content and performance.
- To keep the website and forms secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix errors.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4.Legal bases
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on these legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, when you contact us about a project or apply for a job; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the website and responding to business inquiries; your consent, for the newsletter and where consent is required for analytics; and legal obligations, where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
5.Service providers
We share personal information only with providers that help us run the website and our business, and only for those purposes:
- Cloudflare: website hosting and delivery, security, bot protection (Turnstile), and storage of newsletter subscriptions and uploaded application files.
- PostHog: website analytics and session recording.
- Resend: sending email notifications about form submissions and applications.
- Twenty: our customer relationship management system, where we keep contact inquiries and job applications.
- Cal.com: meeting scheduling when you book a call with us.
- Sanity: our content management system, which also serves images on the website.
- Wistia: video playback on pages that include video.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
6.Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Inquiries are kept while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterward. Job applications are kept while a role is open and for a reasonable period after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to our analytics provider settings.
7.Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls and restricted access to uploaded application files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Residents of Texas, California and other US states with privacy laws may have these rights under their state law, including the right to appeal a decision we make about a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9.International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers of personal information from the EU or UK.

The website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
